Échos de la Caravane des Chefs Traditionnels pour la Paix et le Vivre-ensemble au Cameroun et en Afrique Centrale

*Le 04 juillet 2019, les membres du Groupe de Contact de la Caravane des Chefs Traditionnels*

pour la Paix et le Vivre-ensemble au Cameroun et en Afrique Centrale étaient à la rencontre de quelques Patriarches et Sénateurs Chefs Traditionnels du Cameroun.Cette nouvelle série de visites, au-delà de la restitution de la rencontre de Batchenga et la communication du Programme de la Caravane, marquait le début des consultations des Doyens de la Chefferie Traditionnelle au Cameroun.

A tout Seigneur tout honneur, cette série s’est ouverte par la rencontre de Nfon (SM) Victor Mukete Essimi Ngo (Paramount Chief Mukete), âgé de plus d’un siècle (100 ans 7 mois) à la Résidence du Doyen à Yaoundé.

Au cours des échanges de cette rencontre très conviviale, le Coordonnateur National de la Caravane, SM Mbassi Bessala Prosper, a transmis au Doyen une copie de l’Appel de Batchenga et du Programme de Caravane ainsi que la Décision Conjointe portant désignation des Membres du Groupe de Contact chargés de conduire la mission et les processions pour la Paix et le Vivre-ensemble au Cameroun et en Afrique Centrale.

Après avoir félicité le CPATC pour cette initiative qui a déjà bénéficié de l’adhésion des membres d’autres organisations des Chefs traditionnels du Cameroun, Paramount Chief Mukete a remercié la délégation d’avoir pensé à consulter les Doyens de la Chefferie Traditionnelle du Cameroun. Aussi va-t-il exprimer ses sentiments et sa perception de la situation que traverse le Cameroun, avant de transmettre ses recommandations en direction de la résolution de la crise pour un vivre-ensemble harmonieux entre camerounais.

Prenaient également part à cette rencontre : SM Tanyi Tambe Robinson, Secrétaire Général du CPATC, SM Essoa Etoga Gabriel Sylvain, Chef Supérieur de Batchenga et Coordonnateur Afrique Centrale de la Caravane, Sa Majesté Sénateur Lekunze Nembot Andreas, Rapporteur Chargé de la Communication en langue Anglaise de la Caravane, Sa Majesté Ness Essombey Ndambwe, Rapporteur Chargé de la Communication en langue Française de la Caravane et par ailleurs Secrétaire Général de CULUTRAC, SM Bessala de Ntui et Prince Théophile Tatsitsa, Secrétaire Technique du Groupe de Contact.

v=4UkvMr-By4MAprès avoir reçu les encouragements et les bénédictions du Patriarche Doyen Paramount Chief Mukete, les Membres du Groupe de Contact se sont rendus au Ministère de la Santé Publique où ils ont été reçu par SM Alim Garga Hayatou, Président du Conseil National des Chefs Traditionnels du Cameroun avant de se rendre au Palais des Congrès où ils ont échangé avec plusieurs Chefs traditionnels parlementaires dont : Nfor Tabetando Ndiep Nso , SM Jean-Marie Mama, Fon Chafah Isaac, SM Mohaman Gabdo Yaya, Lamido de Banyo, SM Aboubakary Abdoulaye, Lamido de Rey-Bouba et 1er Vice-Président du Sénat qui a donné rendez-vous au Groupe dans les prochains jours.

Commencée dès le lendemain de la rencontre historique de Batchenga, le 22 juin 2019, la caravane se poursuivra jusqu’au 22 septembre 2019.

It is with great joy that the members of the CPATC welcomed the appointment of His Majesty Joseph DION NGUTE as Prime Minister, Head of Government of the Republic of Cameroon. Through him, his pairs, Traditional Chiefs, members of the CPATC felt very honored. And the visit of this day gives them the opportunity to address the warm congratulations of the CPATC to His Majesty, become since 4 January 2019, Head of the Government of Cameroon, and to express their thanks to the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA for the confidence he has kindly placed in him.

 

For the delegation of Traditional Chiefs, this hearing gave the opportunity of the

present:

 

the CPATC and its Institutional Cooperation; Cameroon's place in the Organization;

  • the project "MISSION OF PEACE CPATC / PACTCA CAMEROON", initiated in 2018 in Solidarity with the People of Cameroon for Peace and Living Together;
  • His projects and ambitions for Cameroon and his grievances.
  • On the CPATC Presentation.
  • The Pan-African Council of Traditional and Customary Authorities (CPATC), is an organization created in 2014 on the initiative of the Guardians of Traditions of several African countries, many of them Cameroonian. gathered from 28 to 30 September 2014 in Dahè in Benin to lay the foundations of the Organization, then in Cotonou, at the Constitutive General Assembly from 23 to 25 July 2016.

 

  1. The CPATC, which was registered at the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of the Republic of Benin in 2016, has the main objective of using experience, knowledge and ancestral know-how in the prevention, resolution and crisis and conflict management, child care and protection, promoting the identity and dignity of African men and women, heritage preservation and culturally sustainable development in Africa . CONTEXT

Under the leadership of His Majesty Pr Dada Awiyan Kokpon Octave Cossi Houdegbe, President of the CPATC, was held in Abidjan (Côte-D'ivoire) from 10 to 12 September 2018, a constituent General Assembly of the said Council.

  • Present: Their Majesties, members of the Council, traditional and customary authorities from all regions of the continent whose names and official references are attached.  

The work focused on the following points:

Presentation of delegations by country;

Admission of new members and partners;

  • Presentation of the mid-term activity report;
  • Medium Term Strategy, Programs and Projects (2018-2021);
  • Budget 2018;
  • Designation of the members of the bureau and the regional representations;
  • Appointment of the members of the Standing Committee.
  • After fruitful and constructive exchanges, the participants raised appropriate options related to each of these points.
  • Concerning the viability and consolidation of the Council's position as regards its positioning both at the levels of (a) all traditional and customary authorities; (b) Heads of State; (c) the Forum of Sovereigns and Traditional Leaders of Africa; (d) regional organizations and scientific and cultural partner institutions; (e) commemorations, the General Assembly has adopted the following resolutions:
