La rencontre historique de Batchenga, le 22 juin 2019, a connu un franc succès, matérialisé par la déclaration commune dénommée ‘‘L’APPEL DE BATCHENGA’’ ainsi que l’engagement pris par les Autorités et Leaders Traditionnels de différents groupes socio-culturels du Cameroun à accompagner le Conseil Panafricain des Autorités Traditionnelles et Coutumières – CPATC dans l’initiative dénommée ‘‘Caravane des Autorités Traditionnelles et Coutumières pour la Paix et le Vivre-Ensemble au Cameroun et en Afrique Centrale’’.

Conformément aux résolutions de la rencontre de Batchenga, leurs Majestés ont commencé une série de consultations dont quelques-unes méritent attention :

  • It is with great joy that the members of the CPATC welcomed the appointment of His Majesty Joseph DION NGUTE as Prime Minister, Head of Government of the Republic of Cameroon. Through him, his pairs, Traditional Chiefs, members of the CPATC felt very honored. And the visit of this day gives them the opportunity to address the warm congratulations of the CPATC to His Majesty, become since 4 January 2019, Head of the Government of Cameroon, and to express their thanks to the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA for the confidence he has kindly placed in him.

  • The Pan-African Council of Traditional and Customary Authorities (CPATC), is an organization created in 2014 on the initiative of the Guardians of Traditions of several African countries, many of them Cameroonian. gathered from 28 to 30 September 2014 in Dahè in Benin to lay the foundations of the Organization, then in Cotonou, at the Constitutive General Assembly from 23 to 25 July 2016.
  • The CPATC, which was registered at the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of the Republic of Benin in 2016, has the main objective of using experience, knowledge and ancestral know-how in the prevention, resolution and crisis and conflict management, child care and protection, promoting the identity and dignity of African men and women, heritage preservation and culturally sustainable development in Africa .
